Eruption was a London-based band who won an RCA talent contest in 1975 and had there first single Let Me Take You Back In Time released as the prize ... only to see it go down like a led balloon. The disappointed lead singer Lindel Leslie left, and backing singer Precious Wilson stepped to the front. They embarked on a tour in Germany where they were spotted by Boney M.'s manager Hans-Jörg Mayer who introduced them to Frank Farian. They were sent on tour with Boney M. in 1977 and released their first single on Hansa International, Party, Party. It was, however, their next single I Can't Stand The Rain which gave them a worldwide hit early 1978, followed by One Way Ticket in 1979.
