Titles read: “THE KING VISITS FIGHTER PILOTS“. Somewhere in Britain. Several shots of King George VI in RAF uniform at an aerodrome, working his way along a line of RAF fighter pilots. He shakes hands and chats to each one. Among them is the (unnamed) Flight Lieutenant “with the DFC and bar who shot down the German plane which bombed Buckingham Palace“. The pilots are about to set off on a sortie over France. Nice shot of Spitfires flying overhead. Later, the King is seen at an other air station, greeting pilots who have just returned from a mission. After listening to the radiotelephone conversations between the pilots in action over the Channel and their home base, His Majesty hears first hand accounts of their combats.
