Gaza Community Kitchen Reopens in Khan Younis

Although they were forced to suspend operations during the chaotic evacuations from Rafah, we are thankful to report that Wefaq’s community kitchen is once again serving women and their families in Gaza. On Tuesday May 21, 4,700 people were served. As optimistic as this news is, huge challenges remain. With the main crossings closed, there is no cooking gas. The community kitchen is forced to use firewood stoves, which take more time and effort. Gathering the wood is hard for the staff.
