Travis plays Igor Stravinsky - The Rite Of Spring (excerpts) (arr. Robert Buckley)

I'm going to be playing this piece in concert on Nov. 12th at Lockerby Composite School with the No Strings Attached Community Band, and I thought I'd do a little video run-through of the piece for YouTube. It's all the “familiar“ themes from one of my favourite pieces of classical music, and rather than play it all on an upright double bass, I opt to play on a 6-string fretless. This piece is full of some really interesting, sometimes dissonant and even “metal“ rhythms and melodies.
