Mozart: Piano Concerto No. 23 in A, K. 488 Arthur Rubinstein with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by John Barbirolli Recorded January 8 and 9, 1931, in Kingsway Hall, London, on Gramophone Company 78-rpm matrices 2B 414 through 2B 419. First issued in November 1931 as HMV DB 1491 through 1493. Issued c. 1933 in the USA as Victor Musical Masterpiece Set M-147 (records 7609 through 7611). My transfer derives from a beautiful mid-30s copy of the Victor set pressed in premium “Z“ shellac. Mozart’s
