The Emirates Water and Electricity Company referred to as Ewec, the UAE's top authority for the procurement of utilities, has issued construction and development tender for a 2GW solar plant in Abu Dhabi. Last week, UAE's Minister of Climate Change and Environment, HE Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi said that Abu Dhabi would soon receive a 2GW solar power plant that will be built in the capital’ s Al Dhafra region.
