Grimsby, Lincolnshire. Boys at the Chelmsford Avenue Secondary Modern School in Grimsby, have been directed over a period of five years by teacher Colin Laycock, to build a 2000 seater roman style open air theatre. M/S boys at work with fencing, making cement moulds, and cementing balustrades, gardening, painting. C/U of a sign on the wall - ’even a boy is known by his labours’ - an old testament quote. The boys are seen fixing stage lights and working on the lily pond. The story closes with the boys in a production of Julius Caesar .
