This is Margaret Wanjiro Gikonyo, one of the women potters of Gakoigo village. She is showing the final stage of finishing the top portion rim and incised decoration using a sgraffito tool made from a bit of plastic bucket. She then proceeds to prepare the base of a similar, pre-hardened section (prepared earlier) for the coiling of its round base.
