Supplying a second soundtrack score for one of this year’s most hotly-anticipated Belgian films - ’Patser’, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike along with studio compadre Quintino have crafted a reggaeton infused, Dutch hip hop track that seamlessly fits the movie’s gangster narrative. Already proving to be popular across charts in Belgium and the Netherlands, ’Slow Down’ is gathering impressive fan support and drawing on a new audience for Belgian and Dutch DJ stars. Waxing lyrical on the hip hop cut are Dutch rappers Ronnie Flex, Ali B, Boef and I Am Aisha, who alongside the production talents of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Quintino, combine to deliver a club-jacking record. Featuring in a key segment of the movie, ’Slow Down’ makes a distinctive soundtrack appearance in the new and third feature film from directors Adil El Arbi & Bilall Falah. Since its release back at the end of January, ’Slow Down’ has accumulated more than 9,5 million Spotify streams and been shazamed more than 80,000 times and these numbers continue to grow at a rapid rate! Besides providing the soundtrack to ’Patser’ (meaning Gangsta), brothers Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike making an acting appearance in the movie, further extending their filmography with previous on-screen outings such as ’Safety First: The Movie’. Recent movie news saw the announcement that Dimitri will appear in the upcoming Jean Claude Van Damme led ’The Bouncer’, as well as George C. Romero’s ’Rise Of The Living Dead’ - the follow up to cult-horror ’Night Of The Living Dead’. Together, however, the brothers are no strangers to soundtracking feature-lengths either, famously remixing the original Hans Zimmer theme ’He’s A Pirate’, which appeared as an official remix in the form of a bonus digital track on the recent ’Pirates Of The Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge’ movie. As ’Patser’ continues to gain momentum with movie going fans, Adil & Bilall have themselves seen momentum coming from some Hollywood’s biggest studio houses which has led to the emerging Directors being signed up by Sony Pictures to oversee the third chapter in the much-loved cop film franchise Bad Boys 3 movie; which will also reunite Will Smith and Martin Lawrence on the big screen!
