Full title reads: “Royal Artillery. Stirring Xmas puddings at Woolwich“. London. M/S of group of army cooks stirring large bowls of Christmas pudding mix. The chefs pour bottle of beer into the mix, making comments like “what a waste“ and “this'll make it taste good“. A young army cadet and older sergeant enter. The cadets asks the sergeant chef if he can stir the pudding. The sergeant replies “yes, but don't lick the spoon“. Both soldier and cadet stir and taste the mix. When asked if he liked it, cadet replies “just like mother makes“. They all laugh. The cooks spoon the mix into pudding basins.
