This tutorial is a demonstration of how to use the Measure Tool in Inkscape to determine unusual angles and create guides based on them. In this scenario we are creating a vector copy of the Gmail logo. The problem is that the logo uses different angles from the typical 15 degree increments we're used to working with in Inkscape. There's various workarounds for this, but using the Measure Tool combined with custom angled guides makes for the simplest workflow. Want to learn more about how Inkscape works?
