East London's Erazerhead always had more in common with the happy-go-lucky sounds of The Ramones and The Dickies than the nihilistic thrashings of their UK contemporaries, but their relentless enthusiasm and manic vibrant energy ensured their place in the annals of UK punk. Although they formed in 1980, their frontman Lee Drury was of the old school, and his passion for rock 'n' roll would help colour Erazerhead's musical outpourings.
