The first service was held in the main Cathedral Mosque of Simferopol - it was conducted by the Mufti of the Muslims of Crimea and Sevastopol, Hadji Emirali Ablaev. The main Cathedral Mosque has been under construction since 2017 - this is a building measuring 37 by 37 meters with a dome 28 meters high, a courtyard with colonnades and a shadirvan (a place for ablution before prayer). The interior space is paved with marble, plants are planted, and the mosque has four minarets of 50 meters each, crowned with crescents.
