This is Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 565, a Johann Sebastian Bach creation from Simon Preston and the album “The Premium Collection - 75 Classical Masterworks“ from DG. In this playback from the German Physiks PQS-302 loudspeakers we experience the holographic 3D rendering of the music, the pace, natural sound and the frequencies across the entire spectrum. It is better experienced with headphones. The associated equipment for this recording are listed below. The recording was done with iPhone 13, 4 meters approximately from the speakers, and it is without any edits or enhancements. Transport: Stream Unlimited Digital to Analog Converter: EMM Labs DA2 v2 Preamplifier: Octave 500 SE Amplifier: German Physiks Emperor Stereo Speakers: German Physiks PQS-302 Cables: All from FM Acoustics Room size: 20Wx30Lx10H, all in feet The German Physiks PQS-302 is a full size loudspeaker with 2 full range omnidirectional DDD units (200 Hz to 24,000 Hz) and two 8-in bass drivers on two separate and stacked large cabins, allowing to reach 24 Hz on the lower frequency spectrum. It is an outstanding speaker for spaces of at least 500 sq ft, that allows the listener to recreate the live experience closely. It is at ease with all music genres and certainly excels in rendering music from large symphonic works with dynamics and loud passages, where there is absolutely no stress or break-up. Its wide bandwidth drivers eliminate the associated crossover issues that most conventional speakers face. At Locrian Audio, we will be happy to demonstrate the PQS-302, if you are in our area visiting or if you are in the market for a destination speaker. We will also ensure during the pre-selection cycle that what you are planning to buy is the right model and upon receipt, an audio specialist will join you at your place to ensure that the speakers are placed properly and you get the maximum performance and enjoyment.
