This video shows the view from Cottesloe in Perth Australia looking towards Rottnest Island. The location is Princes St, Cottesloe. From the top near Avenmore Terrace and the bottom on the beach. Both videos were taken within several minutes of each other. The left frame shows the view from 2 meters elevation. The right side is from 30 meters elevation. You can clearly see how much of the Island is hidden by the Earth's curvature at the lower elevation.
