A lockdown project that ended up being far bigger than intended! I mostly made this video for my dad, who likes to watch restoration videos on YouTube. But maybe you’re here because you have a similar chair and want to revive it, if so, I hope seeing what I did with mine is in some way helpful. I am by no means a professional upholsterer or furniture restorer, but when I saw this chair on Facebook marketplace with some dodgy upholstery I jumped (perhaps too quickly) at the chance to fix it up. However, once I got it home and properly inspected it, I realised the woodwork also needed to be completely reglued and refinished. Thus the project grew.
