He was a spiritual child of Elder Joseph of Vatopaidi. He came to know many Holy people and had a close relationship with St. Paisios the Athonite, with whom he experienced many incredible things. He is also mentioned in the book “The Gurus the young man and Elder Paisios.“ and in the book Mountain of Silence, although he goes by the name “Maximos.“ in that book.
