In this book we learn about downside of constantly being comfortable and how we can improve both our psychological and physical health by voluntarily adding discomfort to our lives. Voluntary discomfort is where its at! In this review I share a summary of the book, the lessons I’ve learned and how I implemented the ideas from The Comfort Crisis into my own life. We are also taking a look at key concepts from the book such as Misogi Challenge, Rucking, Comfort Creep, and The Toughening Theory. #thecomfortcrisis #bookreview #nonfiction 00:00 - 01:25 Introduction 01:25 - 02:04 About the book 02:04 - 02:24 The upside of Discomfort 02:24 - 02:50 Concept: The Toughening Theory 02:50 - 03:02 Concept: The Problem Creep 03:02 - 03:31 Concept: Misogi Challenge 03:31 - 04:08 Concept: Rucking 04:08 - 04:43 Implementation: Fasting 04:43 - 05:00 Implementation: Voluntary Discomfort in fitness 05:00 - 05:13 Implementation: Misogi 05:13 - 06:41 Book Verdict 06:41 - 07:35 Summarizing Quote 07:35 - 07:54 Community Question / Closing ---- Get the book ---- The Comfort Crisis: --- Book Reviews mentioned --- Lifespan by David A.
