This video shows start to finish making of a traditional buttoned French Mattress using a beautiful traditional woven cotton ticking stripe in smoke colour from Ian Mankin. Rather than standard covered buttons that are hard and may be uncomfortable, I've used a more traditional tufted button method using a gathered circle of fabric. The mattress itself is made from foam, wrapped in polyster wadding and has has a feather topper to give
