The artist will be present at the gallery on 20, 21 June. Gallery Eclectic is pleased to present a solo exhibition of ceramics by Shinobu Hashimoto. Shinobu Hashimoto is based on Hokkaido in the north of Japan. He first sought to be a professional potter at the age of 30, when he taught himself all the basic pottery techniques. His pieces are produced in different series, each of which has an original style named by the artist as ‘Hibikesho’ (Cracked Slip), ‘Hibikuro’ (Black Crackle) or ‘Akagane’ (Red Copper). A number of processes are behind each pieces from these series. Hashimoto’s works are highly elaborate, but not too assertive. They delicately incorporate a sense of crisp and timeless elegance into your everyday life. Hashimoto have had his solo exhibition in Gallery Eclectic several times before. Which was succeeding.
