Police in Long Beach, California, have been filmed hitting 46-year-old Porfirio Santos-Lopez with batons and tasering him repeatedly while he lies in the middle of the road. Santos-Lopez required surgery after the beating and the arrest is being investigated. The police say they have CCTV of Santos-Lopez punching an unidentified man and say he was violent towards the officers surrounding him.
