Yet another inexpensive kit has made it's way on the workspace. Not much to say about the kit itself. It's a simple kit but a bit hard to build. I can confirm the Eduard one is better. In this video i'm also doing my best to provide a base for this model. I was trying to represent a scene with an abandoned aircraft, neglected in a corner of the airfield, surrounded by discarded objects, as many of these old Migs seem to be. I used some parts from the spares box: drop tanks for the plane and a ladder and some wheel chocks for the base. I hope you like it. 0:00 Intro 0:15 Kit presentation 1:20 Build 2:33 Gluing the wing halves 3:03 Eduard drop tanks 4:49 Fuselage assembly 5:53 Attaching the wings and external tanks 7:50 Rescribing lost panel lines and rivets 8:27 Canopy assembly 9:17 Canopy aging and masking 11:00 Primer and painting 12:51 Decals 14:14 Oil panel line wash 15:06 Gear assembly 15:38 Oil weathering 18:00 Building the base 21:33 Weathering the base 22:08 Cracks in the concrete 22:57 Stuff from the spares box 24:16 Plane meets airfield 24:55 Some more weathering 26:18 Placing the antenna wire 26:41 Cool photos of the awesome build
