The first kiss of the prompt happened in James last waking moments during lost confessions before he took his last breath. As a result to the trauma of losing her best friend right in front of her eyes, Jessie starts having nightmares about his death and has problems with falling back into daily life. At some points she remembers their promise to meet in the afterlife that they gave each other in Sinnoh which gives her a bit of hope. Her nightmares turn into dreams where she is with James and Meowth again just like in old times. She starts escaping reality in her dreams but deep down she knows that she can't run away forever so she decides to move on to enjoy her life for James' sake too and because she knows that is really what he would want for her.
