More upbeat than its predecessor, Ashes combines flowing melodies, layers of electronics, and smooth vocals to create a sound that is a mix of modern synthpop, new wave and electronic rock. From the haunting intro on Iron Age, to the catchy hook of Fade Away, and the guitars on Ajax, Blume continues to elevated their sound and explore new boundaries. The first single, Blackening was released digitally in October 2017 and quickly climbed to the top of the alternative club charts, including placement on several year-end Top 10s. With the release of Ashes, Blume will definitely take their place among the leaders of the modern synthpop movement. Album Teaser credits released May 4, 2018 license all rights reserved BLUME is an electronic music band founded in 2008 in Milan by Enrico Filisetti (vocals, songwriting, lyrics), Ivan Savino (composer, electronic production) and Daniele De Fabritiis (guitars). Their sound combines evocative and powerful lyrics with influences from Synthpop, New wave, EBM/Electro-industrial and much more. In February 2009 the band signed its first record deal with the US label A Different Drum which released Rise From Grey in January 2010. The debut album received excellent reviews across the globe and BLUME quickly became one of the most exciting newcomers in the alternative electronic music scene. After the first European tour, BLUME signed a new recording contract with the US label WTII Records which released the single Western Rust in July 2013 and the second studio album, Autumn Ruins, in September 2013. The album quickly achieved success from audience and press with several specialty magazines praising the band for their work. On October 20th 2017, BLUME released a new single, Blackening, immediately acclaimed by fans and critics. On May 4th 2018, the 3rd album called Ashes is being distributed globally, again in collaboration with WTII Records. What makes Ashes one of the most awaited albums of the moment is definitely its obscure, aggressive, yet evocative and poetic atmosphere. Ashes is a modern mix of Synthpop, EBM and Futurepop combined with particularly distinguished lyrics: every song has a double meaning, where the literal one always hides a deeper cosmological, mythological and philosophical significance. Over the years the threesome has performed in famous clubs and international festivals, including the prestifious Wave Gotik Treffen, and has shared the stage with some of the most influential bands in the scene, like COVENANT, KIRLIAN CAMERA, VNV NATION, DE/VISION, SEABOUND, APOPTYGMA BERZERK and many others.
