Aviation Fire Training School (1964)

Stanstead, Essex. There is a huge pall of smoke and flames, a man answers the phone, a hand presses the alarm, the alarm bell rings - and it's action stations for fire fighters, who rush to get their gear from the rack, hats and jackets for an emergency. They rush off to the fire tenders. Lights flash and the engines come out of their garage area. One man is seen putting on his stuff while in the vehicle. The men pull the hoses from the fire tenders and start to aim at the flames and the huge bank of smoke. This is a training exercise. Foam comes out of the hoses to put out the blaze of an aircraft on fire, a Lincoln Bomber. The fire-fighters move close amid flames and smoke. C/U of helmet with protection for face. A man is seen with burning trousers, stamping to put out the flames. The aircraft is almost covered in foam now. A fire-fighter uses a circular saw to cut through the metal.
