There was a post-credits scene that didn’t make it into the movie - Timon and Pumbaa were chowing down on bugs and Timon makes a reference to Disneyland (insert conspiracy comments here) and a termite flies into shot and flits from side to side like Tinker-Bell in the traditional Disney transition-out sequence. This scene is actually pretty funny, but I can see why it was removed. NO ONE watches post-credits, unless they are a very patient person and if you have that patience, I envy, respect, and fear you. Given that many of the writers of this film previously worked on the Timon & Pumbaa series, I can see the similarities in humor between the sequel and the first TV show. Also, get a load of this: Originally, there was supposed to be a post-credits scene for The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar where Bunga falls into a termite mound and chows down on it. Both movies had scrapped post-credit scenes involving termites and I am only wondering if it was intentional or not. I do not own The Lion King. It is owned and copyrighted by Disney.
