Japan Says China Preparing Taiwan’s Invasion, Launches Island Defence Drills | From The Frontline The Japanese Self Defence Forces held large-scale military drills on the Yonaguni and Senkaku island. Japan says the drills were in preparation for China’s growing aggression in the South China Sea and the East China Sea. Japan says that an invasion of Taiwan by China is imminent and that it is preparing for the repercussions. Japan also involved its civil authorities in the drills to prepare them for a possible influx of Taiwanese refugees if China invades Taiwan.
