Engelbert Humperdinck was born Arnold Dorsey in India. The family, including nine brothers and sisters emigrated in 1946 to Leicester in Britain. He at one point the name Engelbert Humperdinck, as he later came to stand in a lawsuit filed against him by the heirs of the famous German composer Engelbert Humperdinck. There is absolutely no relationship between them. In 1966, for his great success period, he performed regularly in Belgium, especially in Knokke and Mechelen. In Zeebrugge, a video clip was recorded. Belgium was the cradle of Humperdinck's success. [1] [2] He scored in Flanders six No. 1 hits which he was a total of 32 weeks at the top position.
