👉Download Tabs: The purpose of this video is to show you 20 licks from Django's recordings played over Major and Minor II-V-I progressions. I show them at a fast tempo first and then slower with a graphic analysis showing the different scales, arpeggios, motifs and resources used. I also show you 2 different positions on the fretboard for each lick. They are all transported to C major key (and relative A minor) to make it simpler. If you download the 20 licks package you'll also get the licks in their original keys and at least 4 positions each. I am not trying to emulate Django's sound, (I am not even a gypsy jazz player, that's why I am playing them on a nylon strings guitar and not necessarily use Gypsy Jazz picking), the idea is to learn how did a legend like him approach the common II V I progression, the notes he chose for his phrases, the phrasings ,etc. By learning these licks and understanding
