Russian Ambassador Andrei Kelin’s interview to Nick Ferrari for LBC, 4 April, 2024 75th Anniversary of NATO Andrei Kelin: ▪︎In the beginning of ’90s we have tried to establish a relationship with NATO that could be a part of the European security architecture, but we were a bit idealistic at that time. ▪︎We established partnership with NATO, European Union and OSCE and we were thinking that this could really work, but the [political] development has gone a different way. Instead of gaining a comprehensive European security architecture we have got five NATO enlargements. ▪︎When I’m reading that NATO is preparing to establish a fund which will accumulate $100bn in order to supply armaments to Ukraine I do understand the Alliance is becoming absolutely adversarial toward Russia.
