For more: Russian-led peacekeeping troops have begun to withdraw from Kazakhstan. The troops arrived after President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev appealed for help in quelling violent unrest over high fuel prices. Tokayev says order has now been restored and all the foreign forces should be gone within two weeks. Russia sent a peacekeeping mission from the Collective Security Treaty Organization bloc to help quell what Tokayev called a terrorist threat with foreign influence.
