Vol. 16 - Shanties & Sea Songs 1998 - (ft. Friends Of The Shipyard and Fisherman's Fayre)

Here is one last compilation to see out 2021, featuring songs from Friends of The Shipyard and Fisherman's Fayre, from their 1998 album titled 'Shanties and Songs of the Sea'. Although their production can sound slightly outdated at times when compared with more modern releases, they definitely had some interesting ideas, and were pioneers in combining shanties and sea songs with unique instrumentation. Other than this album, and one or two more recent songs on Spotify, there doesn't seem to be any information about them online. A mysterious group indeed.
