Don’t you find it so easy to just say no? 🕊✨🌃 Here's the 12“ extended mix of my 80s version of “Heaven Can Wait“ by Michael Jackson! 😇🌊💯 Like quite a few songs, I always felt that this was an underrated track from the Invincible album, so I'd groove-it-up a bit for the Valentine's Day season. 😏💕 💿 Enjoy! 😎🤘🏾🖤 The calm before the groove… 👀🤫💥 Stay tuned… Get it while it's hot! 🔥 Seriously, I know some, if not most or all of these songs may get axed by “them“ at any moment, so please use the download links well and share the music (album/songs) with your friends so that the Groove'n'Funk never truly goes away. It was unknown this version existed. Although fans are familiar with the original version from the “Invincible” album in 2001, it has been revealed that “Heaven Can Wait” (rumored to be originally titled “Tell The Angels No”) was originally written and recorded as far back as 1986-1987 during the Forever & Bad sessions at Westlake Recording Studios in Los Angelos. It is unknown who this song is about. Shortly after writing the song, he began working further on this version around 1986-1987 with Joe Kehr, Quincy Jones, with saxophonist Eric Hayes on the extended cut. While the song runs around less than 5 minutes, the full-length version is almost 9 minutes long. Due to time constraints, the song was edited down to potentially fit on a vinyl if they ever decided to put it on an album. While they all liked this version, Quincy felt that “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You” better served as the ‘love song’ for the upcoming album. So despite the other parties involved being unhappy with the decision, this version was shelved into the vault. Certain elements of the song were later used for “Free”, “Fly Away”, and “Throwing Your Life Away”. Michael would later on revisit the song for the ‘Invincible’ album in 1999-2001, that one being produced by Teddy Riley. That version was originally intended for Teddy’s group Blackstreet’s album “Finally” in 2001, but Michael wanted to record the song for Invincible. Blackstreet eventually recorded their own version, but it has yet to be released. //// Connect With Me! 👁 Main Channel: Instagram: Twitter: Soundcloud: TikTok: @eulonzo - No copyright infringement intended.
