The crunchy sound of the MSX Turbo R is considered by many the definitive version of this ultimate cyberpunk soundtrack. Illusion City (幻影都市 “Genei Toshi“) stands as one of the key cyberpunk titles of 90s gaming history and the game is backed up with an aggressive, catchy and inventive soundtrack. Tadahiro Nitta composed the main theme that is considered the iconic theme song of the game (Theme A, which technically runs after Theme B when the game starts up). I included the main themes from other versions (Mega CD, PC-98, X68000) to compare as well as versions from the MT-32 MIDI soundtrack. Shout out to DukeDonuts for helping me figure out how to properly render MT-32 MIDI.
