So here we go with the job ive been DREADING! tackling the rust removal on all of the rear end components. First thing i done before tackling any nuts and bolts was to give them a liberal soaking with WD-40 to try and make life a little easier and im glad to say it worked a treat. As you can see from the video tearing down the subframe is a piece of cake, hubs off , remove the diff, flip it over and remove the lateral arms bish bash bosh done! Now that everything is in component form it was time to remove all the worn bushes and that is the main reason i took the complete rear end out was to get all all the bushes, they are easily removed with the use of a press and after nearly 30 bushes were pressed out i was ready for the next stage. Most of the parts were too big for my blasting cabinet so i decided to go a slightly expensive but very effective route, first i removed all of the heavy rust with the help of my needle scaler then i built an mdf box big enough to hold a
