Italian student gets vaccination pass tattooed on arm to set example for peers

Subscribe to our channel! Andrea Colonnetta, aged just 22, decided to set an example to promote uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine by getting his vaccine pass QR code tattooed on his biceps. Colonnetta said he wants to encourage his peers to trust science to defeat COVID-19. The youngster on Wednesday, took to the streets of Reggio Calabria in southern Italy to show his tattoo in action. “I believe that science is the only way to try to get out of this period and maybe this can be an incentive for all young people to get vaccinated because it is really the only one,“ he said. Since August 6, anyone wishing to dine indoors or attend an event must present a ’Health Pass’ which can be displayed digitally as the QR code. The pass shows that they have tested negative for COVID-19, recovered recently or, in Andrea’s case, been fully vaccinated.
