This is the 2nd video in our 1970's Best Car Chase Film series. See the 1st one here: Grab some popcorn and embrace that 1970s vibe while we go back to look at some of the Best 1970s Movies for all of us Car Chase Fanatics. In the 1970s, Car Chase and Crash movies consisted of generally low budget films that catered to the summer movie market. These movies didn’t have lofty artistic ambitions and the plot, characters, and dialogue were mostly forgettable. We just came for the car stunt action, smashes and explosions, man! But the cars, chase scenes, vehicle stunt work and crashes were the stuff of legend. The 1970’s were the days before CGI had taken over movie effects with its unrealistic physics-defying action and instead relied on careful stunt planning executed by unseen superhero stuntmen that gifted car chase movie fans with the celluloid brilliance that’s still electrifying some 50 years later.
