Capturing the Essence of MONALISA PAINTING IN ACRYLIC | Step by Step Technique by Debojyoti Boruah

Subscribe: I am trying to capture the essence of famous Monalisa Painting by Leonardo Da Vinci with Acrylic colors on canvas. Acrylic paint usually dries fast. To overcome this challenge I am using a fine mist of water to keep the paint moist longer. I have elaborated my techniques of blending and shading using acrylic with water as the only medium. No retarder is used for this painting process. I have started this painting with covering the ligings of the sketches with Burnt Umber and Burnt Sienna misture. Then I establish some of the darkest areas with the same colors. I have applied many thin layers to achieve the desired effect of the skin tone. Most of the blending is done with dry brush techniue with minimal water on the palette.
