SORRY FOR THE QUALITY - ANY OF RUSSIAN SELECTIONS WERE NEVER PUBLISHED ONLINE OFFICIALLY, SO IT IS A QUALITY OF VHS/CD VIDEOS FROM 2009, MADE UNOFFICIALLY! National Selection took place on 7th March 2009. 15 singers with songs, both from Russia and foreign countries, were chosen to sing at live concert. Later, Anastasiya Prikhodko were added to those 15, making it 16 songs. Voting process consisted of 2 parts: first, televote-only, which selects top-3 songs, and second, jury-only, with a panel of 11 juries, picking a winner out of 3. Anastasiya Prikhodko with Russian-Ukrainian lyrics song 'Mamo' won the selection and represented Russia in Eurovision, securing 11th place. Multiple songs out of 16 pre-selected were accused of breaking Eurovision rules, namely, being published earlier than 1st October and being longer than 3 minutes.
