In 1990, a promotional video for “Enjoy the Silence” was shot by French TV (for the TV Show “Champs-Élysées” with Michel Drucker) with Depeche Mode lip-syncing the song while standing atop the World Trade Center at the WTC rooftop World observatory. In the aftermath of the September 11th attacks, in which the towers were destroyed, this video gained special significance among New Yorkers and others as, now, functioning as an elegant tribute to the victims. ____________________________________________ I Do Not Own Any Rights Of The Audio/Visuals Contained In This Video Recording Copyright By: WMG and EMI “Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for “fair use“ for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.
