Hello, my dear viewers. Finally, I received the long-awaited package with a century-old lighter that I bought at an auction. These lighters date back to the late 19th to early 20th century, so it's quite possible that it's over 100 years old. While it was flying to me from Europe, I had already decided that I wanted to cover it in gold, as bronze tends to oxidize quickly and lose its luster. During the restoration process, I imagined how many owners it might have had over all these years, or perhaps just one who lost it? This will remain a mystery that can be fascinating to speculate about. The restoration process itself turned out to be quite simple and engaging. Firstly, cleaning, polishing, minor repairs, and then my favorite process, electrolysis. To ensure the gold laid evenly and beautifully, I initially covered the parts with nickel, and in this variant, I even liked it more than in gold. However, I eventually decided to go with the gold. If you have any questions about the restoration process or the technology, I'll be glad to answer them in the comments. I hope you enjoy my video, look forward to your subscriptions, likes, and kindly ask you to rate my work from 1 to 10 in the comments. #restoration #rare #vintage #lighter #lighthouse #restore #gold
