The animation Chevengur is created by Mikhail Maximov (Grifgont) on the basis of works of the famous Russian writer Andrey Platonov (1899-1951) (Chevengur, The Foundation Pit, The Sea of Youth, The Ethereal Road, Epifan Locks, short stories collections and pocket-books). The author of the animation tried to reproduce or, rather, scan the ideas of the writer, his love and sympathy to the big ones and the small ones of this world, his belief in human capabilities, his apprehension of the world spirit life as if everything alive was somewhere in the middle of time and its own movement, its beginning is forgotten, its end is unknown and all left is the direction.
