Fossils and fossil sizes are a difficult subject. Nobody wants to find the most medium dinosaur in history. But beyond that, methods change, better correlations are found, and more complete fossils are found. Each has the chance to change our understanding of the sizes of fossil organisms, and what roles they played in their environments.
