Barun Sobti is an Indian actor, noted for his performances in Hindi television, movies and web series. He has won various awards for his performance as Nikhil Nair in Asur including the Best Supporting Actor at the 25th Asian Television Awards. He also worked in critically acclaimed films like Tu Hai Mera Sunday (2017), Halahal (2020) and 200 Halla Ho (2021). Sobti began his acting career in 2009 with the Star Plus show Shraddha and later appeared in a negative role in Dill Mill Gayye on Star One. He then worked in Sony Entertainment Television's Baat Hamari Pakki Hai (2010). In 2011, Sobti rose to fame by playing Arnav Singh Raizada in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. He made his film debut with the romantic comedy film Main Aur Mr Riight (2014). Sobti also starred in the Disney Hotstar series Tanhaiyan (2017), ALT Balaji series The Great Indian Dysfunctional Family (2018) and crime thriller series Asur. Kohrra is created by Gunjit Chopra, Sudip Sharma, Diggi Sisodia and Randeep Jha. It revolves around a murdered NRI just before his wedding in the countryside of Punjab. As the investigation unfolds, a world of deceit, secrets and the dramas of dysfunctional families are revealed.
