I don’t know about you, but my own appreciation for nurses hits different this year. We’re more than a year into a pandemic and our nurses have been on the frontlines. Our debt to them is hard to put into words. On a more personal note, I was admitted to the ER last summer and ended up having emergency surgery to remove my gallbladder. Nothing like having surgery to make you really appreciate the nursing staff that is your lifeline while in the hospital.
