If you want to work double-knitting but don't want to manipulate two colors at one time, here is an alternative method. When the knit color is in your hand, work knit 1, slip 1 purlwise with yarn in front. When the purl color is in your hand, work slip 1 purlwise with yarn in back, purl 1. In other words, move the yarn back and forth as for 1×1 ribbing, but only work the stitch if the correct color is in your hand. You'll need points at both ends because it takes two passes to work one row. Learn more at my blog: . I start off with a review of double-knitting. If you already know how to double-knit, skip the first 3 minutes of the video.
