Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. Various shots of rock pools at an artificial water garden; a girl dips her hand in the water. We see several shots which show the process of making artificial pond shapes; fibreglass splinters are sprayed onto a moulded shape to make it waterproof. The girl in the water garden fits another of these ponds into position. Two men and two small boys are seen making a pond in a garden; they fill a plastic overshoot with pebbles printed on it with water. Nymphia water-lilies are selected at a garden centre by a man; goldfish are selected at a fish farm, poured into plastic bags with a squirt of oxygen and packed into boxes. One of the men and the two boys take their fish out of a box by their pond (lilies in place already) and let them swim out into the water. Note: on file is a news article from The Mirror about the Highlands Water Gardens at Rickmansworth. Cuts exist - see separate record. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
