Unionised workers at the Samsung Electronics -- the world's biggest memory-chip maker -- have begun a three-day strike over wages and benefits. This is the first at the South Korean conglomerate, which was founded 55 years ago. Wearing headbands and raincoats amid the heavy rain, the workers held a rally outside Samsung's semiconductor factory in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi province. Both sides have been in talks since January, but they have failed to narrow their differences. Meanwhile, Samsung said the strike is unlikely to have a significant impact on output.
