Deeds of Flesh - Darren Cesca Drum Practice - Ethereal Ancestors

Ethereal was one of my favorite tracks during the writing and pre-production phase of ‘Nucleus’. The groove in the beginning, which I flip over on the drums, mixed with Deeds technicality and the sci-fi like guitar solos really gave it some killer dynamics. This track, like the rest of the album has its challenging combinations with unconventional coordination mixed in. I definitely pushed myself to try some new ideas and come up with unique orchestrations to help enhance all the different ideas on guitar and bass. When learning and practicing some of these tracks it’s clear to me that they would be crushing to play together live.
