Mesmerizing winter landscapes create tidal trees on Yellow River

A stunning frozen landscape appeared in the vast estuary of the Yellow River, as captured in footage near the city of Dongying, in China’s Shandong province. The frozen creeks created a unique phenomenon known as ‘tidal trees’ – incredible branch-like structures that are formed as tidal seawater pours into the wetlands, before freezing into spectacular ‘ice veins’.
